Object found near Broadview/Danforth not explosive
May have been souvenir artillery shell, area now open
Toronto police say a suspicious object found near Broadview and Danforth Avenues earlier Wednesday is not an explosive device and poses no danger to people in the area.
Toronto’s bomb disposal was investigating the area between two apartment buildings on Ozark Crescent with early reports suggesting the object may have been some kind of artillery shell.
The area was not evacuated and shortly before 8 a.m. police announced that the object poses no threat.
CBC's Trevor Dunn reported that the object may be a souvenir artillery shell.
