Kensington Market fire sends man to hospital
2-alarm blaze in used clothing store on Kensington Avenue near Dundas Street West
A fire inside a vintage clothing store in Kensington Market forced four people to escape out a second-storey window early Tuesday.
Firefighters responded to the two-alarm fire on Kensington Avenue near Dundas Street West just after 6 a.m. The building houses a store on the main floor and apartments on the second floor.
One man was taken to hospital by ambulance suffering from smoke inhalation. His condition is not known.
There were reports of two other fires in the area at the same time, one on Augusta Avenue and another on Baldwin Street. The fire marshal has been called in to investigate.
