Provincial fire officials are investigating a suspected case of arson after a blaze tore through a three-storey home under construction near Avenue Road and Wilson Avenue on Sunday night.

It's the second time since 2015 that firefighters have been called to the property to douse a suspicious blaze.

Toronto Fire Services said 18 trucks were dispatched to put out the flames on Joicey Boulevard at about 10:40 p.m. and that the fire appeared to be at the rear of the home.

No injuries were reported in the fire, but Toronto Fire Services tells CBC Toronto that the estimated damages sit at roughly $750,000.

No neighbouring homes were damaged by the fire.

Ontario Fire Marshal investigators were called to the same property in July 2015, when a three-storey home under construction was destroyed in another fire that was said to be suspicious.

There were also no injuries in that fire.
