During the off-season, something as seemingly innocuous as a baby photo can rile up Leafs Nation.
The photo in question comes from Martine Forget, who lets her Instagram followers know whenever her infant son Tyler turns another month old.
On the day he turned 10 months old, Forget may have announced much more than her son's special day.
Forget is Maple Leafs goalie Jonathan Bernier's fiancee. Each month leading up to this one, baby Tyler was featured in an infant-sized Leafs onesie. In his 10-month picture, the Leafs logos are obscured.
"He's so cute, but how come no Leafs on this one?" asked one commenter on the Instagram photo.
"It's for a reason but I can't tell anyone now," replied Forget.
And so began the trade rumours.
