Group of geese brings DVP traffic to standstill; drivers have a gander

Traffic on one of Toronto's busiest highways came to a standstill Saturday morning after a group of web-footed pedestrians waddled into the roadway.

There was no word on why the geese crossed the road but drivers sure took a gander.

Toronto Police tweeted around 10 a.m. that they had received several reports of approximately 15 geese wandering onto the Don Valley Parkway near Wynford Drive. (Jesse Weeks/Twiter)

Traffic on one of Toronto's busiest highways came to a standstill Saturday morning after a group of web-footed pedestrians waddled into the roadway.

Toronto Police tweeted around 10 a.m. that they had received several reports of about 15 geese tottering onto the Don Valley Parkway near Wynford Drive.

About an hour later, they tweeted that units were on scene escorting the birds to safety.

There was no word on why the geese crossed the road but drivers sure took a gander.
