East-end Toronto fire damages convenience store overnight

A convenience store in Toronto's east end caught fire in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, but firefighters say no one was injured in the blaze.

A convenience store in Toronto's east end caught fire in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, but firefighters say no one was injured in the blaze. 

Fire trucks were called to Noor's Fine Foods at 838 Broadview Ave. around 3:20 a.m. where they found flames shooting out the front window when they arrived.

Although the fire was quickly knocked down, smoke had spread to the martial arts studio next door to the convenience store. 

It's unclear how seriously the store was damaged or what may have caused the fire.
