Fight over parking spot led to hammer hit, police say

Peel Regional Police are looking for a male suspect who got into a fight over a parking spot and then allegedly hit his opponent with a hammer.

Peel Regional Police are looking for a male suspect who got into a fight over a parking spot and then allegedly hit his opponent with a hammer.

The dispute erupted Saturday afternoon, when two males were vying for the same parking space in front of a TD Bank branch in Mississauga, Ont.

An altercation ensued, in which police say the suspect  "struck" the other male with a hammer, causing unspecified injuries. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

Police believe there are several witnesses who have not yet come forward, including some who may have recorded the confrontation on their cellphones.

The suspect is believed to be about 30 years old and of Asian descent. He has a medium build and is about five-foot-three.Police say he was wearing a beige jacket, blue jeans, a baseball cap and sunglasses. He drove a silver Honda CRV and was accompanied by a male child.
