Etobicoke shooting leaves man critical

A man in his 20s is in critical condition after a shooting just after 2 a.m. Wednesday in Etobicoke.

The man was shot in the head outside a housing complex located at Waterton Road, near Scarlett Road and Lawrence Avenue West.

"The only thing we've got so far is that we've have two male suspects … who ran up to the victim," Toronto police Sgt. Angelo Costa told CBC News. "There was an altercation, at which point there was a single shot fired."

Police are canvassing the area and appealing for witnesses with information to come forward.
