Stretch of Eglinton Avenue West to close for weekend Crosstown LRT work
Metrolinx will demolish Photography Drive Bridge to make way for construction of Mount Dennis Station
A stretch of Eglinton Avenue West will be shut down this weekend for the demolition of the Photography Drive bridge.
The demolition is the first step to make way for construction of the Crosstown LRT's Mount Dennis Station stop.
Eglinton will be closed from Black Creek Drive to Weston Road from Friday at 9 p.m. until Sunday at 11 p.m.
Drivers who want to head east on Eglinton will have to reroute south on Weston Road and north on Black Creek Drive.
Drivers wanting to travel west on Eglinton will have to reroute north on Black Creek Drive via Trethewey Drive to Jane Street or south on Black Creek Drive to Weston Road.
The Eglinton Avenue West access to the No Frills store At Black Creek Drive will be closed for the weekend.
The Black Creek Drive access to the grocery store will remain open.
The sidewalks on the north and south sides of Eglinton Avenue West between Weston Road and Black Creek will be closed during the demolition.
The following three TTC bus routes will be diverted:
2/332 Eglinton West will divert via Black Creek Drive, Weston Road and Lambton Avenue.
71B Runnymede will divert via Black Creek Drive, Weston Road, Lambton Avenue and Rockcliffe Boulevard.
171 Mt Dennis will divert southbound only via Black Creek Drive, Weston Road and Jane Street.
Regular TTC bus service will resume at 10 p. m. Sunday evening.
