East-end Toronto shooting leaves man with life-threatening injuries

A male victim suffered life-threatening injuries after being shot in Toronto on Wednesday afternoon.

A male victim suffered life-threatening injuries after being shot in Toronto on Wednesday afternoon.

Toronto police responded to a reported shooting on Galt Avenue, near Gerrard Street East and Jones Avenue, shortly after 3 p.m.

Initial reports from police suggest the victim was shot in the back and the leg.

Paramedics said the victim was being transported to hospital following the shooting. He is believed to be in his mid-30s.
