The heavily potholed Dufferin Street has made the list for the third straight year as the province's worst road, according to CAA, which compiles its list using an annual online poll.

The CAA says the rest of the top five include Stanley Avenue in Niagara Falls, Kipling Avenue in Toronto, Finch Avenue West in Toronto and Burlington Street East in Hamilton.

Rounding out the top 10 are Toronto's Bayview Avenue, Carling Avenue in Ottawa and Markham Road, Lawrence Avenue East and Wilson Avenue, all in Toronto.

The CAA says 90 per cent of worst-road voters complained about potholes and pavement in poor condition.

The CAA says there was a 31 per cent increase in votes this year and more than 2,000 streets were nominated.

"The condition of our road network is a growing concern for many Ontario families and will be on the minds of many voters during the provincial and municipal elections," said the CAA's Faye Lyons.

"The CAA is urging candidates to make this critical issue part of their election platforms."
