Crash involving TTC bus in west end sends 5 to hospital with minor injuries
Lawrence Avenue West closed temporarily from Renfield Street to Chiswick Avenue
Five people were taken to hospital after a crash involving a Toronto Transit Commission bus in the city's west end Saturday night.
Toronto police were called to the Lawrence Avenue West and Black Creek Drive area around 10:20 p.m. about reports of a collision.
Const. Alyson Douglas-Cook told CBC Toronto three people were on the bus at the time of the collision and two others travelling in the vehicle appeared to have minor injuries. However, all five were taken to hospital as a precaution.
A portion of Lawrence Avenue West was closed temporarily from Renfield Street to Chiswick Avenue as police investigated the cause of the crash.
The 52 Lawrence West bus was also diverting eastbound.
