CBC Toronto's Community Cares
Providing food to those in need can be difficult at the best of times. With COVID-19, and the challenging times we have faced over these last few months — and will continue to face — that task has gotten much harder.
Since COVID-19, many Food Banks in Toronto have seen a spike in demand. Some Food Banks in Toronto have seen as much as three times the number of weekly visits compared to February 2020.
Community Cares, is a day of special programming with music, stories and coming together in support of Food Banks across the GTA.
On June 24th CBC Toronto will celebrate the resilience of a city and the people who are helping to bring us together, support our neighbours and feed our communities.
From 5:30-8:37 am join Metro Morning with musical guests July Talk, William Prince, Adria Kain, Andy Shauf and Jon Vinyl.
