A Hamilton, Ont. comic book shop rewards kids who get As in school.

Good grades in school pay off in more ways than one for patrons of an Ontario comic book store, which for years has been handing out free issues to kids for every A they get on their report cards.

Big B Comics owner Watler Durajlija came up with the idea for the annual program when his son Nicolas asked for a freebie when he got an A.

"When you think about it, what comic book shops do is promote literacy — just get them reading," Durajlija told CBC News.

Big B is among the exhibitors taking part in this weekend's Toronto Comicon event. Click the video for the full story.
