5 injured after car rear-ends TTC bus in Scarborough
Five people were injured when a car rear-ended a Toronto Transit Commission bus early Monday in Scarborough.
The collision happened in Malvern on Morningside Avenue near Halfway Avenue, which is located north of Sheppard Avenue West, at about 2 a.m.
Firefighters at the scene cut the roof off the car to free a person who'd been trapped inside for 45 minutes.
Toronto police said several people were taken to hospital but none of the injuries are life-threatening.
Police said there is no indication that alcohol was involved in the collision.
In a tweet, police thanked passersby who assisted at the scene.
