Brampton crash sends 7 to hospital

Police are investigating a four-car collision in Brampton that sent seven people to hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. at Highway 50 and Cotrelle Boulevard.

Emergency crews freed three people from vehicles, one was taken to hospital via air ambulance with serious injuries. 

Highway 50 was closed between Zenway Boulevard and Rutherford Road as of 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the highway would likely remain closed for at least three hours.
