Before the Toronto Argonauts' first home game of the regular season, fans are already breaking in the team's new digs at BMO Field with a beloved football tradition: tailgating.

This is the first season tailgating is being allowed outside Argo games. Fans seem to be having no trouble adjusting.

Kickoff for tonight's game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats is at 7:30.

Fans parked in special licensed areas can hang out three hours before kickoff, and can bring their own barbecues and food to grill. But unlike tailgate parties in the U.S., alcohol must be purchased there. Cans of beer are going for $4 each.

There will be tailgate parties before all of the Argos' home games this season. Parking spots in the licensed tailgating zone cost $30 at Ontario Place and $35 at Exhibition Place.
