Accidents cause traffic problems on Highway 401

Police have closed two sections of Canada's busiest highway after a pair of accidents early Friday morning.

Police have closed two sections of Canada's busiest highway after a pair of accidents early Friday morning.

In one accident, a tractor-trailer jackknifed on Highway 401 near Milton, just west of Toronto, near the Highway 25 interchange.

The truck blocked several lanes of the highway and forced drivers onto the shoulder in order to get past the accident site.

There were no injuries reported.

In another accident near Kingston, the westbound lanes of the highway were shut down because of a crash involving two tractor-trailers.

Ontario Provincial Police officers say they expect traffic to be affected by the accidents throughout the morning.
