2 Toronto companies to be part of Lawrence Heights project
The first phase of the long-term revitalization of Lawrence Heights will involve a pair of Toronto-based real-estate development companies.
Toronto Community Housing announced Monday that Context and Metropia will jointly serve as the organization's "developer partner" in the much-anticipated project that will see hundreds of new housing units built in the years ahead.
TCH president and CEO Gene Jones said the two companies will "combine their talents" on the project.
"I congratulate them on submitting a strong bid and demonstrating their passion and commitment for the project," Jones said.
Construction on the $40-million project could get underway as soon as this winter.
