Man accused of stealing 3 poppy boxes from downtown-area Tim Horton's restaurants
Another Toronto man is facing charges in the theft of poppy donation boxes.
Nicholas Moorhouse, 34, was arrested last night and charged with stealing three poppy boxes from Tim Horton's restaurants in the downtown area.
Police say he had one of the Canadian Legion donation boxes on him when he was arrested and that it contained about $50.
Moorhouse was identified through video surveillance footage, say police.
Earlier this week, another Toronto man — 31-year-old Christopher Ethier — was charged with stealing poppy boxes from three different locations in the city.
And in Leamington in southwestern Ontario, 29-year-old Matthew Dacosta was charged this week with stealing four poppy boxes from businesses in the community.
