Thunder Bay police investigate woman's sudden death

Thunder Bay Police are investigating the sudden death of a woman, after she was found in medical distress near the Neebing floodway in the Intercity area Tuesday morning.

Thunder Bay police are investigating the sudden death of a woman on Tuesday morning.

In a media release, police said a 28-year-old woman was found in medical distress by the Neebing Floodway bike path in the Intercity area on the southeast side of the CN train trestle, behind the McIntyre Centre shopping area.



The woman was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre but was pronounced dead later that morning.

Police said the coroner has determined a postmortem will be conducted in Toronto on Wednesday.

Officers continue to hold the scene until the postmortem is completed.
