Grow-op bust in Wabaseemoong seizes 186 marijuana plants

The Treaty Three Police Service Street Crime Unit said it dismantled an illegal outdoor marijuana grow operation at the end of May. 

Police said after receiving anonymous information identifying the size and location of the grow-op in the Wabaseemoong (Whitedog) First Nation Territory, they seized a total of 186 marijuana plants of varying size.

Police also seized items related to the manufacturing and cultivation of cannabis marijuana.

Each plant has the potential to produce approximately $1000 of marijuana, police said.

No charges have been laid. Police are continuing their investigation.
