Geraldton kickboxing teens head to world championships
Three 15-year-old students with the Geraldton Hachi-o-kai karate club have qualified in kickboxing. Their teacher Lynnea Zuefle will also be competing.
Zuefle said the team owes their success to hard work and commitment, "a lot of dedication, a lot of pride, and just staying true to ourselves."
The students — Daniel Barrett, Brookelyn Abraham and Devon Couch — are now training every day for the competition, which takes Nov. 8-13. Zuefle said the team will compete against "the best of the best" around the world.
"The students have joined together in one good team, and are really looking forward and honoured to represent the Geraldton Hachi-o-kai," Zuefle said.
