2-year-old girl dies in North Spirit Lake First Nation
Ontario Provincial Police are investigating how a child died in North Spirit Lake First Nation.
According to a written release issued on Wednesday, the provincial police service was called in to help the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service with a sudden death investigation in the community.
Nishnawbe Aski police were called on Tuesday about a two-year-old child who had been brought to the community's nursing station and was subsequently pronounced dead.
A post-mortem is scheduled for Thursday in Toronto, police said.

North Spirit Lake is a remote community, located about 800 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay, Ont.
