Two people hurt in Sudbury house fire
An investigation is underway following a house fire in Sudbury.
A boarding house at 189 Pine St. went up in flames Sunday afternoon, displacing 12 people.
Sudbury Fire Services platoon chief Chris Stokes was on the scene when the fire broke out.
"We arrived to smoke coming out through most of the entries in the building, flames at the front door. There was one injured outside and one that had gone out on to the roof."
Stokes said the two people who were injured have been released from hospital.
"There was one injured outside and one that had gone out on to the roof, that firefighters removed from the roof," Stokes said. "They were both transported to hospital, treated at the hospital and released later on in the evening."
The investigation is expected to take several weeks.
Damage is estimated at $250,000.
