A vinyl recording, book and video of a the unique Between a Rock and a Hard Place concert tour in Sudbury is set to be released this weekend.

In August of 2012, a total of 11 local bands played live sets in different forests and on hills around the city. One group even managed to lug a piano to the top of a hill.

The day of concerts was a project of Dutch artists Bik Van der Pol. It was inspired by the rich music community and distinct physical environment in Sudbury scarred by mining pollution and  then re-greened.

A launch party will be held Saturday night at the Laughing Buddha restaurant in Sudbury for the book, documentary video, and a limited edition vinyl field recording.
