Rapper Baba Brinkman brings hip-hop science tour to Sudbury

The scientifically peer-reviewed hip-hop artist will perform his Rap Guide to Evolution on Thursday at Laurentian University as part of Research Week.

The theme for research week at Laurentian University is "Evolution in Action". The theme is a perfect fit for invited hip hop artist Baba Brinkman who calls himself a "peer reviewed" rapper who performs his own creative take on science and evolution. 6:27
Scientifically peer-reviewed hip-hop artist Baba Brinkman will perform his Rap Guide to Evolution on Thursday at Laurentian University.

Brinkman describes the show as a "hip-hop inspired tour of modern evolutionary biology" and says it "combines the skills and charisma of a live MC with the precision of a scientist."

Brinkman is Canadian, but now hails from New York. 

He is performing in Sudbury is part of events for Research Week at Laurentian University.

He will perform his Rap Guide to Evolution on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in the Fraser Auditorium. The show is being put on by Laurentian's Centre for Evolutionary Ecology and Ethical Conservation.

Brinkman is also the headline performer Friday night at Science North in Sudbury for its Nightlife on the Rocks event: Sex, Love and the Rhythm of.
