New Sudbury fire causes $1.5M in damage to building

There were no injuries as a result of a fire on Lasalle Boulevard early this morning, but Sudbury Fire Services reports the fire caused about $1.5 million in damage.

There were no injuries as a result of a fire on Lasalle Boulevard early this morning, but Sudbury Fire Services reports the fire caused about $1.5 million in damage.

Public Safety Officer Mitch Therriault said the fire happened in the industrial area of Lasalle and Falconbridge. 

A vehicle in a parking garage may have caught fire, he said, possibly due to an electrical issue.

Therriault said the fire is out, and the building has been turned back over the the owner. 

There are no traffic issues in the area.
