Tuesday's school buses in Saskatoon cancelled because of extreme cold
Slight moderation in temperatures expected in the coming days
Extreme cold weather has cancelled school bus routes and charters for the public and Catholic schools in Saskatoon on Tuesday.
Morning temperatures were a quivering -33 C and the windchill made it feel like -47 C.
School buses are cancelled when the temperature, including wind chill, reaches -40 C.
FirstBus and Hertz drivers inform parents of route cancellations.
While the buses aren't running, the schools are still open.
