Man, 68, dead following collision with train near Clavet, Sask.

A 68-year-old man has died in a collision involving a westbound CN train and a northbound pickup truck, near Clavet, Sask.

A 68-year-old man is dead after his pickup truck collided with a train near Clavet, Sask.

Saskatoon RCMP said the crash happened around 7 p.m. CST Saturday, three kilometres west of the Saskatchewan village. 

According to police, the man's northbound pickup collided with a westbound CN freight train.

The driver of the truck was alone in the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash has not been determined and the investigation was continuing Monday morning, according to RCMP.

Clavet is about 30 kilometres southeast of Saskatoon.
