Shots fired through window of house, into garage and vehicle in separate incidents: Saskatoon police

Shots were fired through the window of a home with people inside, and into a garage and vehicle, in two separate incidents Saturday morning, Saskatoon police say.

Police say they're not sure if the incidents are related.

No one was injured in either incident.

According to a Saskatoon Police Service news release, several people heard gunshots in the 500 block of Secord Manor, in the city's Brighton neighborhood, at 3:40 a.m. Officers responded, but were unable to find any evidence. 

Shortly after 8:30 a.m., a resident called police to report he had found a bullet hole in his vehicle and garage.

At 4:05 a.m., Saskatoon police received a call about gunshots in the 600 block of Confederation Drive, in Confederation Park. Two bullets went through a window at the occupied home, but no one was injured.

The Saskatoon Police Service's forensic identification section was called to investigate. Police say it's unknown if there's any connection between the shootings.

Saskatoon police say members of the public are encouraged to report instances of what they think are gunfire immediately.
