Saskatoon police shock man with taser in hospital
Police say man was covered in blood and acting aggressive
Police in Saskatoon are investigating after a 47-year-old man was shocked with a taser at St. Paul's Hospital on Sunday afternoon.
A news release said the man was acting disruptively and was believed to be on drugs. He was also covered in blood.
Officers tried to help the man but he became aggressive when he was approached. Eventually, he was shocked by a taser.
The man had been stabbed in his forearm and had been admitted to hospital.
It's not known if charges will be laid.
The taser use will be reviewed by the Saskatoon Police Service as part of its regular policy.
