Saskatoon police arrest one of five suspects allegedly involved in February apartment invasion
Search for four other suspects continues
On the cold evening of Feb. 7, four men and a woman — some wearing masks — forced their way into an apartment in the north end of Saskatoon and assaulted a person inside, according to police.
Police said the suspects left with cash and hydromorphone, a prescription pain killer. The victim of the assault was not hurt badly.
The five suspects had so far avoided arrest, but today police said they have taken a 23-year-old woman into custody and charged her with robbery and break and enter.
Three suspects were armed
Police said they hope the arrest helps them track down the other suspects. They have released surveillance images from the apartment building, which is in the 100 block of Reindeer Road.
Police said at least three of the suspects were armed with guns and that they all fled in what is believed to have been a dark- coloured Nissan Frontier pick-up truck.
A series of photos can be viewed on the Saskatoon Police Service Facebook page. Police are asking anyone with information to step forward.
