Woman's death ruled accidental after body found New Year's Day

An autopsy has helped police determine that foul play was not involved in the death of a 22-year-old woman.

The death of a 22-year-old woman whose body was found Sunday has been ruled accidental. 

The woman's body was found on the 1500 block of 20th Street W. in Saskatoon, shortly after 10:30 a.m. CST.

An autopsy was done Thursday afternoon.

The Saskatoon Police Service ruled out foul play based on the results of the autopsy, evidence at the scene and interviews done by officers.

The woman's name is not being released at the request of her family.
