A fire investigator is looking into what started a blaze at an elementary school on Sunday afternoon.

A fire investigator is looking into what started a blaze at an elementary school on Sunday afternoon.

Shortly after 2 p.m. CST, the Saskatoon Fire Department was called to a fire at the St. Frances Elementary School on Willow Street E.

When firefighters arrived, they found a fence and the corner of the daycare building on fire.

The flames were brought under control quickly, although the flames had entered into the exterior of the walls. Firefighters had to extinguish hot spots both inside and outside the building.

No one was hurt in the incident.

A damage estimate has not been released.
