After more than 32 months of work, Saskatoon's $53 million airport expansion is nearly complete.

Beyond the security gate, that part of the terminal has nearly doubled in size.

The security area itself has moved. It's bigger -- there are now six stations -- and it's better lit.

On the other side, the number of passenger gates has doubled from four to eight. The terminal can now handle ten airplanes at a time.

Three restaurants have opened near the passenger lounges.

All of this is to accommodate the growth in passenger volume, from 1 million annually about a decade ago to about 1.5 million now.
