Power outage in downtown Saskatoon

There is a power outage affecting several businesses in the downtown core in Saskatoon.

Power expected to be back on later this afternoon

There is a power outage affecting several businesses in the downtown core in Saskatoon. 

The outage started as the lunch-hour rush began at noon, according to the City of Saskatoon.

It is affecting the area from 19th Street to 24th Street and Idylwyld to 2nd Avenue on both sides.

The city estimates it will affect customers until at least 2:30 p.m. CST and some customers until 3:30 p.m.

Crews are currently repairing damage to some electrical equipment after a "foreign interference".
