Man, 26, charged in car-crash death of Quinn Stevenson

RCMP say a man from Duck Lake, Sask., has been charged in relation to the crash in which Quinn Stevenson, 17, was killed.

A 26-year-old man from Duck Lake is in custody charged with a fatal crash in Saskatoon.

Quinn Stevenson, 17, was killed in a crash at Circle Drive and College Drive in Saskatoon more than a year ago. He had recently graduated from Centennial Collegiate.

His parents have since created a memorial scholarship in his memory at the high school.

The accused man, who is now 26, faces several charges relating to the crash, including impaired driving causing death. 

The man appeared briefly in provincial court this morning and was remanded until his next appearance on Thursday. The prosecutor also requested that he have no contact with a second man.

The prosecutor also said he'll be opposing the 26-year-old's release.
