Saskatoon firefighters were kept busy Thursday morning as a large commercial shop burned outside the city.

When crews arrived at the shop in the RM of Vanscoy, outside of Saskatoon, at 1:40 a.m. CST, the building was covered in flames and the roof had already collapsed.

Tankers had to shuttle water to the scene to make sure there was a constant water source.

Two fire engines, a water tanker, a brush truck, a rescue unit and a battalion chief were all sent to the fire.

Firefighters say the blaze was quickly brought under control, but were still on scene putting out hot spots four hours later.

No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
