One man injured in Saskatoon mobile home fire

Saskatoon fire crews were fighting a stubborn blaze at a mobile home park on Wednesday.

Crews arrive to find home fully ablaze on 200 block of Grant Street

Saskatoon fire crews were fighting a stubborn blaze at a mobile home park on Wednesday.

It started around 3:30 p.m. CST on the 200 block of Grant Street in the Sutherland area. The fire was finally out by 8:15 p.m.

The fire spread to the adjacent building, but that was quickly brought under control. People in surrounding homes were forced to leave due to thick smoke.

One man was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

While one person was sent to hospital, no one was seriously injured in the fire.

A battalion chief, a rescue truck, ladder truck and three pumpers were brought out to the scene.

The fire completely destroyed the first mobile home, doing $220,000 worth of damage. The second home received $80,000 in damage.

A fire investigator couldn't determine the cause of the blaze.
