Fire at Canadian Tire store in Saskatoon considered suspicious

Saskatoon fire investigators say a fire inside the Confederation Mall Canadian Tire store on Monday is suspicious.

The fire happened over the noon hour on Monday.

Customers and staff were safely evacuated from the building.

Before firefighters arrived on the scene the fire was put out by a Canadian Tire staff member using a fire extinguisher.

The damage is estimated at approximately $5,000.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by both the Saskatoon Fire Department and the Saskatoon Police Service.
