The pride of Maryfield, Sask. will be making his return to the octagon in July.

Former UFC champion Brock Lesnar will be fighting in UFC 200 against New Zealand's Mark Hunt.

Lesnar moved to a farm near the village of Maryfield, located 250 kilometres southeast of Regina, after leaving the UFC in 2011.

"I love my farm," Lesnar told ESPN's SportsCenter in a recent interview. "You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy."

Not surprisingly, social media had a lot to say about Lesnar's Saskatchewan connection.

First, Saskatchewan's premier broke the news.

Then more people started weighing in...

Some people were a little bit frightened.

And some people were jerks.

Some people were sad Lesnar had moved away from his original home in the U.S.

UFC 200 will be held in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 9.
