Suspicious fire destroys garage in Saskatoon's Westmount neighbourhood

The building and its contents are a complete loss.

Damage is estimated at $80K

A suspicious fire destroyed a garage in Saskatoon's Westmount neighbourhood Saturday afternoon.

Several people called 911 around 2:42 p.m. CST to report the garage fire at 424 Avenue M N. By the time crews arrived, four minutes later, the garage was fully engulfed.

Crews had the fire under control within 20 minutes, but the building — as well as its contents including a boat and some appliances — is a complete loss.

The Saskatoon Fire Department said the fire has been deemed suspicious.

Damage is estimated at $80,000.
