Saskatoon police are looking for five suspects after a business was robbed at knife point and two men in their 50s were stabbed.

Officers were called to a business in the 2400 block of 22nd Street West around 6:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday for a report of an armed robbery, according to a news release.

Police were told a group of six people had come into the store and some of them weren't wearing a mask. An employee asked them to leave but one of the suspects threatened him with a knife.

The group then fled the store with stolen items. The employee told police he chased them for a short distance until a man with the group threatened him with a gun, then kept running.

2 men stabbed

Officers were then called to a hospital at about 6:45 p.m. CST after two people were stabbed.

A 51-year-old man was approached from behind and stabbed, police say, after he witnessed a group of teenagers running near 22nd Street and Avenue S.

The second victim was a 50-year-old man who was walking on the 2100 block of 22nd Street W. He was approached by someone from the same group and assaulted with a knife, according to police.

Both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police were then called to a restaurant on the 2200 block of 22nd Street West at about 11:15 p.m. CST. Officers were told a fight broke out and a man pulled out a knife.

5 suspects still at large

Police say they've arrested a 13-year-old boy who matches a suspect description from the stabbings and robbery, but five other suspects are at large: two women and three men.

They're described as about 18 years old and wearing sweaters or jackets with their hoods up. Some were also wearing masks.

One woman is also described as having dyed blonde hair, while another is described as about six feet tall with a round face, shoulder-length dark hair and dressed all in black.

The rest of the suspects are men. One had shaggy, dark hair and wore a black Adidas track suit. Another was wearing light blue jeans with a grey bunnyhug. The third was wearing a light-coloured bunnyhug with blue jeans and a backpack.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Saskatoon police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
