Teen injured in stolen car crash

A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition in a Saskatoon hospital following an accident with a stolen car early Tuesday.

A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition in a Saskatoon hospital following an accident involving a stolen car early Tuesday.

Police say the teen was a passenger in a stolen vehicle that crashed shortly after 3 a.m. Police found the injured teen in an alley in the 100 block of 33rd Street W.

Investigators later discovered that the teen was carried to the alley by the driver and another passenger as they tried to avoid being connected to the stolen vehicle and accident.

A 16-year-old boy is to appear in court Wednesday on charges of dangerous driving causing bodily harm and possession of a stolen auto. Police provided no information on the other passenger.
