A 17-year-old boy injured last week in an accident involving a stolen car has died, Saskatoon police say.

A 17-year-old boy injured last week in an accident involving a stolen car has died, Saskatoon police say.

The teen was a passenger in a stolen vehicle that crashed shortly after 3 a.m. last Tuesday. Police found the injured teen in an alley in the 100 block of 33rd Street W.

Investigators later discovered that the injured teen was carried to the alley by the driver and another passenger as they tried to avoid being connected to the stolen vehicle and accident.

A 17-year-old boy is charged with dangerous driving causing death and possession of a stolen auto.
