A 49-year-old woman has made her first court appearance in connection to a fatal collision on Highway 11 and Wanuskewin Road outside Saskatoon this weekend.

49-year-old Catherine McKay has been charged with three counts of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death. She's been remanded to Pine Grove Correctional Centre until Thursday.

Three people are dead following the two-car crash early Sunday morning.

The car had four people inside — a 33-year-old female passenger, a 34-year-old male driver, a two-year-old boy, and a five-year-old girl — all from Saskatoon.
