Sask. may have warmest Christmas ever

Environment Canada is predicting that parts of Saskatchewan may see the warmest Christmas on record.

Environment Canada is predicting that parts of Saskatchewan may see the warmest Christmas on record.

On Christmas Eve Saskatoon has already broken the 1928 record by two degrees with a high of 7 C.

Regina also matched the 1999 record on Christmas Eve of 4 C.

But for some people the lack of snow is putting a damper on the Christmas spirit.

"It doesn't really feel like Christmas this year I don't think," said Deena Persaut from Saskatoon. "It's not the same."

Others don't seem to mind the mild temperatures.

"It beats being 40 below and stuck in the house," said Steven Collier.

As for Christmas Day, Saskatoon may see a high of 5 C and Regina 4 C.
