The Rural Municipality of Buckland, north of Prince Albert, has declared a local state of emergency due to flooding.

Officials declared the emergency at noon Monday.

They said some residents will be asked to leave their homes because of limited access. Those who need to leave will be contacted by local officials.

The area has been struggling with too much water which has ruined roads and made moving around the RM difficult.
