Another warm day in Regina and there's some good news for people who use the city's outdoor pools.

Usually, the city closes its pools in late August, but on Tuesday it said four of them would stay open for the long weekend (with Wascana Pool remaining open about a week after that.)

The pools, the addresses, and the closing dates are:

  • Regent Pool, 3600 McKinley Avenue, noon-6 p.m., until Sept. 3
  • Dewdney Pool, 1401 Montague Street, noon-6 p.m., until Sept. 3
  • Maple Leaf Pool,1101-14th Avenue, noon-6 p.m., until Sept. 3
  • Wascana Pool, 2211 College Avenue, lane swimming starting at 10: 30 a.m., leisure swim 1-6 p.m., until Sept. 9.

Another city pool, Massey, closed earlier this month due to mechanical difficulties.

Meanwhile, in Saskatoon, all the outdoor pools have closed except for the newly refurbished Mayfair Pool, which stays open until Sept. 3.
